2009 / 2010 Season Falcons fc nearly do the Double Premier League Runners UP COBBIN Trophy Winner Falcons fc 1-0 East Leake For the first 10 minutes we were not at the races at all and East Leake were well on top but didn't create any goal scoring chances, we slowly got into the game and started to put pressure on their defence with some good passing football and if it wasn't for their keeper bringing off some first class saves we could have easily gone into the break two or three goals to the good. The second half was much the same as the first with East Leake occasionally breaking but not troubling our keeper but the game turned in the 70th minute when a good through-ball found Danny Bowes who went on to slide the ball past their advancing keeper to give us a 1-0 lead East Leake tried to up their game but could not find a  way through our defence and the referee eventually blew  for full time. Man of the match was definitely the East Leake keeper who brought off four or five brilliant saves to keep them in the game right up till the end Captain Matt Bishop Receiving the Cobbin Trophy
